The Margraviate of Brandenburg was a March territory, or frontier principality, which was especially responsible for defending the Kingdom of Germany and the Holy Roman Empire against Slavic people living along the Baltic Coast.

Reichstagsgebäude

Reichstag was established upon German Unification in 1871, but as far as I can tell was a separate entity from the Prussian Parliament.

By contrast King Wilhelm I of Prussia became Emperor of Germany.

Prenzlauer Berg was a run-down part of East Berlin which after re-unification became first home to squatters, but then rapidly gentrified.

Prenzlauer Berg’s desirability is on account of the fact that it is both a planned, mixed-use community and is filled with original, historic 19th-Century buildings.
