Elk Meadows

From Elk Meadows Trailhead, I made a loop to Elk Meadows and Gnarl Ridge, and then crossed Newton Creek and returned in the dark.

Walking poles are really helpful descending from Bluegrass Ridge into Elk Meadows. As you can see from the altitude readings, it’s several hundred feet drop.
